I have not posted in over 6 months! I'm sorry i've been away, but i'm going to try and post more often, hopefully things are more interesting in my life now, to re-start things with a bang, the 5 for Change Event.
The 5 for Change organisation held it's second annual back tie charity gala at the Cape Town City hall on Saturday the 18th May 2013. The swanky event was full of people dressed to the nines, most inspired by The Great Gatsby and it's recent re-release. Boys in tux's and girls in gowns partied the night away with champers, canapes and tunes delivered by The Rudimentals and Goldfish. There were auctions and treasure hunts and all of it for a good cause, all money donated and raised was given to the five different charaties that were being supported that night, hence five for change.
So how many you ask, did i score an invite to this luscious event? Well i spent the first two hours of it working there scanning tickets of guests on arrival with my beautiful best friend and partner in crime, the two hours 'work' gave us a chance to see everyone's outfits (very enjoyable as fashion design students) and scout out the eye candy for the night. Not only did we score entry to the event, and free drinks for the night, but we got plus ones as well. Our dashing duo showed up looking dapper as ever, and we took to their arms like moths to a flame. Once we settled in, there was no stopping us from partying the night away, with a few breaks in between! The night went by in a momentous blur of music sounds and colour, if i could relive it i would do so in a heartbeat.
